Beautiful Snow!

We don't get snow often, but this week's snowfall of 3" was lovely. No words for you today.... just views of our community and our woods in the wintry beauty.

About Elderberry CoHousing

Elderberry is not your usual retirement community! Situated in a beautiful rural setting, we are an adult cohousing community and creative alternative to urban living. Our community of couples and individuals has a vision to live an active and interdependent life, to support life-long learning and growing, and to work together on activities of interest.

Self-created, self-managed and self-directed, all members have an equal voice in our consensus-based community decisions. We live in this community to learn and share our experiences with one another, our wider community, and our world.

Elderberry is for folks who want to live in the country, with the advantages of a close community and opportunities to play, eat and work together. The view from homes and the Common House is distinctly rural — rolling hills and fields, pastures and gardens, woodlands with hundred-year-old trees, barns and farmhouse, abundant wildlife, and a starry night sky unaffected by city lights.

Each townhome is a maximum of 1,200 square feet, and configured in duplexes and quadraplexes to preserve land, increase energy efficiency and encourage community among members.
